Aburi Botanical Garden

For the late afternoon we went out of town to the Aburi Botanical garden in the mountains.

Great place. Cool and silent...

I am standing just down there next to the HUGE tree!!!

Tuesday

Finally everybody got to animate. We did the classical coin exercise, bouncing ball and also some more direct animation under camera.

Monday

Two of our participants

The first workshop day went well. All participants were interested and wanted to learn about animation. I presented them with a rather long lecture on african animation and animation techniques. I think they were all wondering when they would finally animate.

We finished our day with a night walk to a food market close to Alliance Francaise.

On our way to James Town_ Cine Rex

THE KINGDOM

On Sunday, George Opare donated generously his entire day to take us around the old city, the Art Center and in to James town. One the way the saw the mausoleum from the first president of Ghana, Kwame Nkrumah. He was the one who negotiated independence for his country from the british. Do you know that Ghana means THE KINGDOM.

We even had the time for a short walk on the beach as it was getting dark.
